| Effective problem solving and decision making require both a logical process and facility on the part of the work team with each step of that process. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This workshop teaches teams a balanced, four-step approach to problem-solving and decision-making: |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| • problem or situation appraisal; • identification of possible solutions or alternatives; • logical evaluation of possibilities; and • consideration of consequences. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Using the MBTI model language TRG shows that these steps follow a pattern beginning with Sensing, then iNtuition, then Thinking, then Feeling (as shown in the graphic below). |

| The workshop develops self-awareness regarding the impact of personal preferences on the process, and how to handle "expert" bias and opinion. Teams are taught how to best use of the ideas, skills, and experience of all team members in making a balanced decision. |
